The Beauty Of An Ugly Start

12 Simple Reasons To Get Over Yourself

& Take Your Idea To Market TODAY

Stop staying up at night worrying about if you can make your idea work, and GET UP and get working on your idea!

Having a good idea is one of the best feelings in the world; when that lightbulb goes off you can't wait to tell the world.  You start to scribble, plot and plan and then boom...

The fear sets in.  "It won't be perfect." "I don't know how to do that."  "Will anyone really want it?" "Wait. Is it even a good idea?"

The Beauty Of An Ugly Start was an idea I had at the end of December 2014 and I let a lot of different reasons come between me and this great idea.  "What should the cover design look like?" "Is the subtitle too long?" "Why does the word 'product' look weird?"  (I changed out idea for product two days ago.)

This Book Is How You Go

From Ugly Start To Beautiful Finish TODAY

You've seen ideas out there making money, making a difference, and you know your idea is better.  So why won't you prove it?

You are reading this and you know there’s a treasure trove of ideas in some stage of the creation process just waiting for you to dust them off and get them into the market! However, you are afraid they aren’t perfect, aren’t pretty, aren’t ready and you are probably right, but there’s hope.

Diamonds start as coal, flowers start as dirt and manure; some of the things we treasure in this life don’t start the way they end; few things do.

However, they must start to get to the point of completion no matter how ugly, messy or moist the result of that start is.

Your idea needs a growth process.  You can't pick it up at the jeweler or the florist, you are going to have to do the work.  That means an ugly start.

And it also means a beautiful finish.

This book gets you to a quicker start which means a quicker finish.  Now it may not be a beautiful one today, but it will be a lot closer than the one you would have if you don't start.

About the Author

Hi, my name is Ella Rucker

and I got over myself to live The Beauty Of MY Ugly Start

Five years ago I lost my job, my home, my car.  It didn't feel like the time to start a totally new career, but I had an idea.  I started a writing career as a welfare mom and last year I was a speaker at Walt Disney World!

What would have happened if I waited until I had all the "right" tools to become a writer; an office, a computer, a reputation as a blogger or even the faintest idea on how to blog?  I would have delayed my start and probably be living a life of mediocrity.

I don't want that to happen to you! What are you sure you could do "if only"?  How much longer can you wait for your great idea to get out there?

I say don't wait another minute! There is beauty in an ugly start and you have to get over yourself and take your idea, your product, your service, your unique gift to the market TODAY!

Ella Rucker is an entrepreneur’s best resource for information, networks, and mentorship. Currently Ella is co-founder of Weekend Startup School and co-owner of #MentorMonday; both are aimed at mentoring minority entrepreneurs in the first five years of business and building entrepreneurial blueprints through world-class mentors, networks, and live events.

Ella is also a master blogger having written a best-selling eguide for BeBlogalicious entitled Tick Tock Goes The Blog Clock: The What, Why and How Of Creating 365 Days Of Content TODAY, and spoken at #BloggerWeek, Niche Parent Conference at Disney World and Blogalicious as a content creation and goal setting expert.

A contributor for Black Enterprise online’s small business section, Ella has also been quoted in The Wall Street Journal Online and Crain’s New York Business. She is a contributor to two books with Marion Licchiello, Anyone Can! Live A Happier Life and What’s Your Vision: A Guide For Designing The Life Of Your Dreams With Vision Boards.

Ella studied entrepreneurial journalism at the Tow-Knight Center and marketing at Wharton online.

After attending Wright State University in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio, Ella moved to New York City to pursue her passion for writing. She currently lives in the Bronx with her 5-year-old daughter and entrepreneurial apprentice, Joelle.
